Last Dance




Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
But I danced with her, hoping it would be eternal
Mesmerized by the way she caresses
Enchanted by the way she sways

When we danced,
Heart earns for her whisper
Soul earns for her touch
Close to her, I ask myself, is it just a dance?
Or,Is it something else?
Lost in a trance, engulfed in love,
Thought this would blossom in to a beautiful spring.
Thought her eyes conveyed her love to me,
Her lips were professing her love to me,

But, it was not to be,
Time made me to realize
Her heart and thought were not mine
I was just a passing cloud.
For her, it was all nothing but a dance,
For me, it was nothing but the Last dance.

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget
But I could never forget the dance.
