Call To The Great Acharya!

MY Motherland is in tatters,
Long gone a Kshatriya king who cares for his Nation, but now he cares for himself and to cling on to his power,
Long gone a common man who cared for his neighbor but now cares for his own kin,
People have become selfish and arrogant,
What matters is how they eke out a living.
Care, kindness, love have vanished in thin air,
Caste, Creed, Communism has taken its toll,
Religion has become a source of evil, rather than strength,
Rivers, lakes are drying up fast and what remains have become a contention
Grains are allowed to rotten, rather than to feed the poor,
Rich are sharing the spoils, but the poor are left to fend themselves,
Long gone the time a nation expands, my Nation shrinks as the neighbours eat away our border
Brave Jawans are defending with whatever they have, poor Kissans couldn't defend what they have,
Ancient languages, culture and tradition are thing of a past, alien language has gained pace fast ,
Once a Land of walking Gods ad legendary warriors, now a land of tattered people
Wades of country’s wealth swindled all in the name for people’s welfare,
Hoards of Cash stashed in a safe long away from home,
Temple robbed and demolished to hide the past,

Whom do I call to seek advice?
Whom do I turn to, to turn around my country’s situation?
Whom do I ask to lead in times of turmoil?
Whom do I ask to set right the ancient way of life?
Whom do I ask to lead my people to prosperity and power?
Whom do I summon to make a legendary King who can make nation stronger and expand to its ancient lore??

All I can think is of you.,
OH! Great Acharya! Chanakya,
The author of Arthsasathra,
Lead us all to our Glory ….

Project Manager from Ancient Times- 2

Continued.....

Just consider the magnitude of Mahabharata , the number of kingdoms and the number of people involved at different levels and played various roles That’s at least half of current day Indian population (1,530,900 soldiers on Pandavas side and 2,405,700 soldiers) Kauravas side)as stakeholders and consider the number of communication channels n(n-1) , it’s just mind blowing . He must have also ensured that is communication is without any noise and received and ably understood by the recipients.
The battle formation and strategy adopted for each one of the 18 days is astounding as well as the ground rules established for the meeting and for the war as just efficient and he also ensured adherence to the maximum extent.

Even when you consider how he eliminated the threat of starting the war at a day, which was advantageous to the Kauravas by circumventing the “ammavasai” to his advantage! That’s simply eliminating a threat by majestic planning.

Let’s look at the resource planning , he had a great plan of who should fight with whom , for instance Arjuna takes on the “Noble” Karna and Shikhandi ( Shikhandi was a woman on previous birth , Bishma has vow that he wont hurt woman in any form so Arjuna hid behind Shikhandi to bring down Bishma) was used against the Great Bishma !, Bheema takes care of the “Mighty” Duryodhana (RACI chart comes to mind , he made each of the Pandavas accountable , responsible and consult with each other to eliminate certain threats according to their strength and weakness.( SWOT comes to Mind) .Lord Krishna even used the Lord SUN as a buffer to kill Jayadratha ( Was killed by Arjuna , he had to be killed before sunset , so Lord used his “chakra” to create a illusion of sunset which made Jayadratha to come out to mock Arjuna and he gets killed).

His crucial introduction of Characters , especially Kadothkaja was simply a masterstroke and ensured that “Brahmastra” was used on him , thus saving fearless Arjuna.( Can we say Crashing and maybe he used Kadothkaja as a buffer and ensured his critical path is not affected by not loosing Arjuna). Not to forget his introduction of Abhimanyu to penetrate the “ Chakra Viyuga”.

He Initiated, Planned , Executed , Monitored and Controlled the outcomes exceptionally and the results were all of great quality because of his quality control and assurance.

In short, He effectively and efficiently managed all the process knowledge and the process groups with élan.
I wonder if we had such strategist, manager and a leader before who had given guidance which can be correlated to the current management process, I indeed bow to him .Lord Krishna is just one example , there were other able leaders/strategist like the Great Acharya Chanakya , Lord Rama, Veer Hanuman.Im sure people when they start to think about our “Way of life”, Epics, Vedas and Upanishads will sure realize they didn't tell not only how to lead a righteous life but also how to manage our work in a prjoectized way!

Project Manager from Ancient Times- 1

yada; yada; hi; dharmasya; glanih; bhavati; bharata; abhyutthanam; adharmasya; tada; atmanam; srjami aham.

The above lines are age old and the moment one sees it , we can recogonise these are the words of Lord Krishna , who gave the eternal Bhagavad Gita in a way of preaching to the great Arjuna and also listened by Lord Hanuman. The incident takes place in Mahabharata.

When we say Lord Krishna we correlate how he helped the Pandavas to win over Kauravas and how he ensured the good defeated the evil. Mahabharata is just a story we tells about morals, values, ethics and how to stand our moral ground in spite of all turbulence's around us.

Is Mahabharata, only depicting the above said lines? Or does it tell us more?
If it tells us more, what is it conveying?

The Grand story of Mahabharata conveys how Lord Krishna effectively manages a Program and different projects associated with the Program. Explains how he was able visionary and how he anticipated the risk and constraints, adopted and adapted according to the situation.

Lets illustrate on how good Lord Krishna was and how he effectively he used his resources well on all circumstances.
First of all Lord Krishna was a able communicator (A Project manager communicates 90% of your time) and he achieved success by effectively understanding the situation and disseminating the required information at the right time.
He always acknowledged conflicts and in fact he accepted the risk and he mitigated the risks by deploying the right moves at the right. (Project manager’s mantra for managing positive and negative risks ATMA at EASE)For example saving Arjuna from “Brahmastra” by introducing Kadothaja in the battle and when there was an arrow to Arjuna’s head he ensured the chariot went down a level so the arrow took the crown of Arjuna rather than the head.
Lord Krishna treated everyone alike and he himself was ready to saddle up in to the battle in support o f his team. (He leads from the front).

While strategizing he ensured all the stakeholders were considered and especially the stakeholders with a negative view or with a reluctant mindset was addressed first and made sure that all the interests were covered and addressed adequately and efficiently .For instance even Arjuna refused to fight when he saw all his relatives on the other side of the battle field but Lord Krishna explained Arjuna’s duty to him and alleviated his doubts.

He knew his weakness and strengths or rather his teams weakness and strength (SWOT) and he always analysed the situation according to is tea’s strength and weakness. For instance , When Duryodhana went to his mother to get his physical body to have the power from her eyes , Lord Krishna ensured that Duryodhana had a weakness by making him to cover his thighs in a plantain leaf, so that when Bheema and Duryodhana fight , Bheema can win by striking Duryodhana in his thighs .
He always understood that “we i.e. ordinary men and women were always needed to reminded of their duties and what happens when they falter from Dharma” (Theory x and Theory y).

The rest of the correlation will continue in Part -2..
